Fresh Paint for the Holidays
Want to know one of the simplest ways to bring a clean, fresh look to your home this holiday season?A fresh coat of paint to any room!Venture over to favorite home improvement store and pick out your color, buy a few gallons of paint and some roller brushes, and viola! (Just make sure you give yourself enough ventilation, so you’re not breathing paint fumes for hours on end.)
Make sure you prioritize your projects based on what you can reasonably accomplish. It’s also important to create a realistic budget by determining what you can spend and working your way backwards. That always yields a better result.
Remodeling not only brings about such enjoyment in your home, but it also boosts your home’s value, especially kitchens and bathrooms.Keep in mind that many of your favorite home improvement stores are seeking to become holiday shopping destinations. So you might even be able to check items off your holiday wish list while searching for the painting aisle.
You might recall from the 1st post I received this picture via email and the first thing that came into my mind was “You might need CREED!” paying homage to the, “you might be a redneck” jokes of course. Well you be the judge!
Leaky drain and you’re out of duct tape? Why not use electrical tape? NOT!!!!
I hope your laughing because we were when we saw this! For me it was tears running down the face laughing but believe it or not this sorta stuff really happens.
This is definitely how NOT to do this! If you see this in your house, a friends house or anyone you love’s house PLEASE tell them “You Might Need CREED!” This has to be an entry into the Darwin awards for home improvement. I hope you get a laugh out of these and please share these posts with your friends.
On the serious side this type of repair quality can cause the growth of mold which can effect your health. Doing this job right might have cost another $50 in materials and maybe a few extra hours of labor but what is your health worth? If you don’t call us please call someone.
Spring is almost here and I’m sure you are busy planning your spring projects. If we can help with your repairs, remodeling projects inside or outside, or your insurance restoration needs please give us a call at (317) 626-1177

Most of the time a fence is installed to keep kids or pets in or out of a yard. Sometimes a fence can just block a view. In this case 15 feet of cedar fence blocked the view in and out of this client’s backyard creating more privacy. Installing just a few 8 foot sections of fence can create a visual screen that gives privacy and a sense of design. Adding fence sections between plantings of bushes and evergreens can stretch the budget and increase the style of your yard. This project took just a couple of days to complete. Cedar will last longer and require less maintenance than regular pressure treated wood but will come at about 3x’s the price. Make sure your posts are sunk 24” into the ground and the use of metal brackets to attach cross beams to the posts will make your fence last much longer. Also fences can represent a significant investment. If your building out of pressure treated wood please remember to power wash and stain it every 3 to 4 years. If you do it will increase the potential of your fence lasting 10 to 20 years, if not you will see boards start rotting within 5 to 7 years. We will be glad to handle your deck and fence building, repair and maintenance needs.
